Η ΔΡΑΣΗ ΤΟΥ Μ.Α.Σ.

The M.A.S. developed an intense and multiple activity, which, continuing the tradition of offering to our brothers and fellow human beings -especially during the difficult two years of the pandemic with the strict measures that tested the strength of the whole society- made sure to be present to anyone who asked for its support.

It is characteristic that the Great Benevolent Corps -of course with the help of all the brothers of the H.M.S.T.E.- managed all this time and responded by giving a "helping hand" in many cases, such as:

  • He collected and distributed more than 140 units of blood at the request of brothers and sisters for the needs not only of themselves or their families, but also for people in their friendly environment.
  • We assisted financially brothers, who faced difficult and extraordinary situations -mainly due to restrictive measures and pandemic- and as a result the M.A.S. stood by them in their effort to overcome their problems.
  • Helped members and employees of EMSTE to cover hospitalization expenses for themselves or their relatives.
  • It stood by the side of single-parent families or our fellow human beings in need, whom it supported either with the purchase of medicines and the coverage of basic needs, or with prepaid debit cards from a well-known supermarket chain, and even with the purchase and offer of white household appliances.

In the Health sector the M.A.S.

a) registered a nationwide list of a network of doctors to support the Sisters and to deal with the pandemic,

b) supported Ad. during his hospitalization in a private nursing home through the activation of the network and personal visits of members of the M.A.S.

c) provided assistance to Ad. in finding a Pediatric Ophthalmologist for a relative, at his request, and the Requests Committee approved the coverage of part of the costs of the required surgery.

d) provided medical assistance for the surgery of a relative's brother, through the mediation of the 1st MEPS.

e) finally, it procured a quantity of antiseptic liquid for the needs of the Athens and Piraeus Masons.

He supported the efforts of the Voluntary Non-Profit Organization for Special Care and Protection of Mothers and Children "KIBOTTO TOO KIMMOU" with a financial contribution.
