Purchase of an interactive screen for the upgrade of the educational program provided in the kindergarten of the Model Education and Rehabilitation Center "Open Door".
Fellow Brothers of the B.M.Line/P.M.Line/Grama Line,
The Grand Benevolent Body of the National Grand Lodge of Greece and its President, L.S.Seb. Ad. Dimitrios Zographakis, are pleased to inform you of another new action undertaken by the M.A.S. in support of the work of the Spastic Protection Society / Open Door, which promotes the rights and abilities of children, adolescents and adults with cerebral palsy in Greece, offering all its services free of charge.
On the initiative of the MAS, the President of the House visited the premises of the Company, accompanied by the President of the Board of Directors, Mrs Ioanna Koutrouvis, where he announced the decision of the MAS to support the work of the Company, by donating a New Line Lyra 75'' interactive screen worth 3.350 euros, for the upgrading of the educational programme provided in the Kindergarten of the Model Education & Rehabilitation Centre "Porta Open".
In this context, with this letter we ask all of you, our Brothers, to support this act and together we can raise the required amount for the donation of the above Interactive Screen.
We call upon each brother individually and collectively the Lodges of EMSTE to pay until the end of this month whatever amount they can collect for the donation, to the Bank Account of M.A.S. (IBAN: GR0601721150005115092323803 PIRAEUS BANK), with the reason "Donation of Interactive Screen".
My brothers and sisters, in the OUR group, we believe that together we can all support the great charitable work that the Society for the Protection of Spastic Patients/Open Door selflessly offers. A Society which is an Organising Member of the International Cerebral Palsy Society (ICPS), the European Association of Service Providers for Persons with Disabilities (EASPD), the Network of Service Providers for Persons with Disabilities (NETWORK) and Together for Children.
We should also be aware that as a pioneer in the field of cerebral palsy, the Spastic Society / Door Open aims to remove the barriers created by ignorance and prejudice, to support parents and families, to train staff, to inform the public and to encourage scientific research, especially in the field of prevention.
The Open Door Model Education and Rehabilitation Centre, which we wish to support, currently operates with 120 qualified staff and provides a wide range of education and rehabilitation programmes as well as accompanying, supportive, sports and recreational services/programmes to 240 children, adolescents and adults with cerebral palsy.
Apart from this Model Centre, the Society operates two Assisted Living Houses, one in Patissia and one in Agios Dimitrios, which are the homes of 17 adults with cerebral palsy.
Following all of the above we are confident of your support and thank you in advance.
